The restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse of Duane Library into a mixed use educational facility demanded a thoughtful lighting design to echo the historic aesthetic while providing efficient, comfortable and sustainable illumination. Fixtures were carefully chosen and located to provide a uniform appearance and color around the building from all exterior angles. Spaces included a campus reception center, a 140-seat performance space, the admissions department, two academic divisions, and three large classrooms. Custom chandeliers inspired by the original candelabras were designed for the Great Hall. Dimming control systems were designed for the Visitor’s Center and interactive classrooms.
