Cooper Square Loft

New York, NY | Robert Kahn Architect

This 4,800 sq.ft. apartment renovation converted two lofts, one above the other, into a single family dwelling. Throughout, low brightness plaster-in recessed fixtures provide warm, ambient downlighting and wall-washing to complement the luxe interior finishes. Linear slots and coves provide concealed lighting and a modern aesthetic. A custom opalescent decorative pendant takes advantage of the living room’s double-height ceiling and grand spiral stair case. The private dance studio is uniquely equipped for a variety of performances and events from classical ballet to to guest artist performances. Every luminaire uses energy efficient LED technology programmed into an automated master control system for state of the art electronic functions.
