During a major renovation and restoration of Trinity School Library, MFLD was tasked with providing state-of-the-art lighting for the many uses of this important multi-use space, while also addressing the historic nature of the interiors. General illumination for the lower school Library is provided by a combination of indirect cove lighting of the coffered ceiling and direct lighting from a “constellation” arrangement of the pairs of LED recessed downlights. Pendants hung in the story area and discrete mini-downlights in reading nooks and niches help create cozy settings for young readers.
